Frontier Leaders' & Dancers' Association
The FLADA dates back to the early 60's and before as 'The Western New York Federation of Square Dance Clubs'. The earliest information I have is that the President in 1964 was Jim Martinelli and Herb Seitz was the editor of 'Script-O-Squares'. In 1975 the president of FLADA was Norm Moser and the FLADA Flyer editor was Irene Smith. The purpose of the FLADA Flyer and it's organization is the same today as it was back in 1975.

To promote, encourage and foster a wider knowledge of Square and Round Dancing.
To promote a mutual exchange of philosophy and material pertaining the Square and Round Dancing among callers, leaders and Dancers.
To improve the quality of Square and Round Dancing in this area.
To propose area standards and uniformity relating to Square and Round Dancing.
To publicize the Square and Round Dance movement in this area and to encourage others to join.
